The painting is a representation of the Black Sea off the coast of Poti, Georgia in Eastern Europe. I have always been captivated by the sea with its intensity and chose this location as one in a series of five seascapes that have inspired my creativity. The beauty and power of the sea crashes along the seashore. While safe on the sand, it allows the viewer to feel the calm inner peace that surrounds us every day.

Robert’s art has evolved over his lifetime. His interest in drawing and painting began in his youth which he pursued in high school and briefly in college. However, with the start of a family and its obligations, it left little time for an art career. His career path changed in 2024 when he retired and at last found the time he needed to devote to his love of painting.
